SSRS Report:BookMark from one table to another in current report

Hi,
I want to bookMark from one table to another in current report. Below are the 2 tables , when I select a
FromBrandName in the first table, it should take me to the second table row with the same
FromBrandName. Is this possible? Is there a function to access a specific running value other than First and
Last?
Hi,
Thanks Jason for replying. I've resolved the issue. The solution (provided by Jason) won't work because =Fields!FromBrandName.Value in both the table must refer to same dataset (and we don't have any function to access the current value of another
dataset). So what I did was got the sum of FromBrandID value of datasetComments and concantenated them to the Fields!FromBrandName.Value of the first table and set this concantenated value as the value of bookmark expression of the first table
=Sum(Fields!FromBrandID.Value,
"datasetComments").ToString()&Fields!FromBrandName.Value
and in the second table, select FromBrandName Texbox,click F4, we get the property dialog box, there in the bookmark expression I pasted the expression below
=Sum(Fields!FromBrandID.Value,
"datasetComments").ToString()&Fields!FromBrandName.Value
Please note that Fields!FromBrandName.Value in the first and the second expression belongs to 2 dataset and we cannot compare them as they are like giving expression
=Fields!FromBrandName.Value (the bookmark won't work)
What i did is just concanted this expression belonging to different dataset with same unique summation value to give me a unique string Id (
=Sum(Fields!FromBrandID.Value,
"datasetComments").ToString()&Fields!FromBrandName.V) which i applied in both the bookmark expessions.susana w
Part I) CREATE BOOKMARK IN SECOND TABLE
1) Go to the second table and click on the textbox having [FromBrandName]
2) Click F4 to see the properties of that textbox.
3) Go to the BookMark property and enter the value from the dropdown as [FromBrandName] (or edit the expression to write the below code)
=Fields!FromBrandName.Value
Part II) REFER BOOKMARK FROM FIRST TABLE
4) Right Click on the FromBrandName textbox in first table and select ttextbox properties
5) Go to the actions tab and select Go To Bookmark option
6) Select [FromBrandName] from the dropdown or enter the following expression
=Fields!FromBrandName.Value
7) Now you can click ok and preview the results. Click on the first table and it should take you to the same value in the second table.
(Assumption : Both the FromBrandNames in first and second table have the same value fields. You can replace the .value to .label if it is the label fields that are the same.
Cheers,
Jason
